    This facility continues to be improved and upgraded. In 2009 it was awarded " Best Jail In Northern Mindanao " . A new water system was installed and has since been added to. Under the leadership of Warden Omar Jalagat there were no escapes in 2011, a new visitors area and a new infirmary have been constructed. Local organizations, businesses and private donations continue to provide medical and dental services, equipment, supplies and other services. New kitchen facilities have been installed and interior areas of the main cell block have been repainted. Additional tables and seating for 200 have been supplied to go with the newly constructed visitors area in 2011 and 2012. Many of the improvements to this Jail can be considered as a community project.

    A very nice electronics store featuring a wide variety of Cell Phones, Computers, laptops, cameras and accessory items for everything. There is an on premesis service department. Courtious and friendly staff, clean and very orderly.

    A complete refurbishing and Re-Imaging of this Jollibee location took place in 2011. The second floor area has been expanded. Part of the outside front area has been set up with tables and chairs with a railing around the perimiter. Same great food, Fun and service !

    So much more than " just a store ", this family owned and operated business has been an attraction in Iligan City for decades. The spotlight product of course is Cheding's own roasted peanuts, available in many varieties, pure and fresh with no preservatives added. In addition to their own products Cheding's also offers a comprehensive variety of local and regional products and seasonings which you may just find too irresistable to pass up. I looked in several stores in Iligan for a locally made product known as " Suka Pinakurat " and when I did not find it in the first couple of places I looked, I knew I would find it at Cheding's and sure enough I did. I also purchased a few of the 1/4 Kilogram size packages of Cheding's Peanuts of several varieties, some to enjoy during my visit and some to bring home for friends back in New York. My first attempt at trying the tropical fruit " Durian " was not very successful as it can be considered as something you have to acquire a taste for. Iligan friends suggested I try it in a different form such as Durian Candy or Cake. I found some very enjoyable Durian Candy, made in Davao and added that to the somewhat large variety of things I brought home from this store. A variety of souvenier shirts and other items are available at this store in addition to all of the taste tantilizing items that you could spend a good bit of time looking at and considering wether to eat it in Iligan or take some home for family and friends ! If you are visiting Iligan for a day, or a week or more I would suggest a visit to Cheding's landmark store to be included in your itineary. If you are taking a taxi all you have to say is " Take me to Cheding's please " and they will know where to take you. For the " not so young " for the time you are here you can feel as though you have shed a few of your years as a visit to Cheding's will truly give you that " kid in a candy store " feeling from when you were young !
